I am so excited to announce that CutOffTheSpigot.com and early access to Merch for paid subscribers is now LIVE!
The website is launching with a ton of great features to make finding alternatives and resources information much easier, like….
Now, instead of combing through articles you can search by company, category, or term, like “Trump ballroom.”
I’ve added categories for main topics like ICE Boycotting, Spotify Alternatives, & Streaming Alternatives so you can see all my articles for each in one place.
There’s a ton of helpful resources I find when doing category research but I wanted an easy place for people to find them.
Resources are categorized by topic:
Organizing & Action: Ways to get involved in political or union organizing and resources on how to get started.
Boycotting & Research: Sources I find helpful when either trying to find company information or apps like Boycat.
Community: Ways to build and support community.
Find Local & Diverse Businesses: All of the helpful shopping directories & marketplaces I’ve shared to find diverse businesses near you and online.
Library, Books & Media: Library resources and other ways to find free media.
Free/Thrifting: Where to find thrift stores, buy nothing groups, and more near you.
Food: Ways to find community free fridges & local-sourcing for food items.
You can now submit your requests for categories or specific companies to be covered!
Use the request form instead of messaging me directly – it helps me keep everything organized in one place instead of digging through messages and comments on multiple platforms. I will be reading all of them, don’t worry!
Have your own business that you’d like to be featured? Fill out this request form so I have all your info in an easily findable place.
I want to give a HUGE shoutout to Josh Bagnall, my website developer who truly made this possible. He is brilliant, knowledgeable, hard-working, and super collaborative.
If you are a small business or organization looking to do good in the world and need some help, he is open for more paid opportunities! Check out his portfolio and services at his website.
Want early access? Get a paid subscription before Friday, February 13th and you’re in!
All paid subscribers who sign up before March 1st will receive a 20% off coupon for merch items – so sign up today!
Cut Off the Spigot is entirely community-funded. I don’t accept advertising or sponsorships from the companies I feature so I can keep integrity in my coverage.
I do Cut Off the Spigot full-time – I don’t have a day job.
It’s a ton of time-consuming work – it takes days to put together the research for my articles to make them as comprehensive as possible, and then even more time to write scripts, record and edit videos to share on social media. On top of content, I’ve built a website to make it easier for you to find information and resources. Websites cost money!
I believe my work is valuable, and if you’re here you likely do too. Please get a subscription today if you can. Your support means that not only Cut Off the Spigot can keep going, but you can keep this information free and accessible for those who don’t have the means to support financially. I’m not asking to make millions, I just want to be able to pay my bills and maybe go out to a modest dinner from time to time.
Now that the website and merch are live, next month I’ll be hunkering down and finding more ways to give you bonus content and perks for your subscription. There’s a lot more I want to do for paid subscribers, and early merch access and discounts are only the beginning!
So please, get a subscription, eh?
