If you want to avoid Amazon and other bad companies this Ramadan/Eid season, look no further! I’ve found small businesses for decorations, gifting, kids’ items, lights and more.

Not Muslim? No worries! You can still shop Palestinian-owned and allied 😁 There’s a lot of cool businesses that aren’t Ramadan/Eid specific. If you need even more ways to shop diverse businesses, check out my holiday guide.

Where to Shop for Ramadan & Eid Items

All of these businesses do not have a profile on OpenSecrets, or a public diversity policy – which is common for small and local businesses.

Days of Eid: This place is a great one-stop shop for Ramadan & Eid decorations. Days of Eid has a mix of both affordable (banners start at $9) and higher quality/higher-end decorations.

  • The Details: Founded by American-Muslim Reem Sayes, Days of Eid is family-owned and operated.

  • Ramadan Items: Countdown calendars, banners & door decorations, lights & lanterns, signs & other decor

  • Shipping & Countries: They ship across the US & internationally, though customs duties may apply.

RamadanInflatables.com: Celebrate loudly and proudly with Ramadan lawn inflatables!

  • The Details: Founded by Omar Hashwi and held privately.

  • Ramadan Items: Inflatable lawn decor, Eid money envelopes

  • Shipping & Countries: They ship across the US and internationally, but their warehouses are based out of the US & Canada so you may have to pay customs fees if you’re outside of these countries. I think if you order from Canada you should be able to avoid customs fees since they have warehouses there.

Islamic Holiday Decor: Affordable Ramadan & Eid decorations.

  • The Details: I can’t find the name of the person who founded Islamic Holiday Decor, but based on this Instagram post they started the company in 2018 after moving to Jacksonville, FL from Dearborn, MI. When they moved, there was a much smaller Muslim community and festivities around Ramadan & Eid, so they started their company to help Muslims find affordable decorations.

  • Ramadan Items: Banners & door decorations, lights & lanterns, signs & other decor, trays, some kids items. Beyond decorations, they also have Qurans and prayer rugs.

  • Shipping & Countries: USA-only. They do not note any restrictions on USA shipping, so I’m guessing they ship to Alaska & Hawaii as well.

Islamic Wall Art (IWA): Islamic home decor and other items for Ramadan, Eid, and year-round.

  • The Details: Owned and operated by the Shukran family, IWA is US-based but manufactures their items in Turkey.

  • Ramadan Items: Home decor, iftar & suhoor table, prayer essentials, Ramadan gifts, items for kids & families, and Ramadan bundles.

  • Shipping & Countries: They ship to the US, Canada, United Kingdom & EU countries from Turkey without customs fees or import taxes, though shipping times can be a little longer.

House of Avana: House of Avana works with artisans & craftspeople across West Africa and worldwide to create modern, yet culturally-inspired pieces.

  • The Details: Owned by Avana International, LLC. I couldn’t find a ton on Avana International’s ownership, so my assumption would be it is held privately.

  • Ramadan Items: Banners & door decorations, lights & lanterns, signs & other decor. They also have trays, servingware, and dining sets.

  • Shipping & Countries: USA and internationally.

Modern EID: Beautifully designed and ethically-sourced gift wrap, party supplies, home decor and other items to celebrate Muslim identity, culture & traditions.

  • The Details: Founded by Jomana, an American Muslim, in 2011 after she received an Eid present in old Christmas wrapping paper and knew there was a need for wrapping paper and accessories specific to Ramadan & Eid.

  • Ramadan Items: Wrapping paper, gift bags, cards, banners & decor, countdown calendars

  • Shipping & Countries: USA, Canada, Australia, UK, and EU countries. For all countries outside of the US, you may need to pay customs fees for your items.

Watan: Palestinian-American art, home, & lifestyle shop based out of Chicago.

Lights: If you need lights and the above options don’t work for you for whatever reason, check out your local hardware store, Ace Hardware (has holiday lights and fairy lights), or DoItBest (has holiday lights). I’m not gonna lie, these are generally “Christmas” lights, but wanted to share in case it was helpful.

  • Ace Hardware and DoItBest are both co-ops, meaning the store owners also own the brand. I know some people have pro-MAGA Aces or DoItBests around them, but there are also awesome employee-owned ones – like these in DC. If your local Ace/DoItBest is on the wrong side of history, find a local hardware store if you have one!

  • Ramadan Items: Kid-centered wrapping paper, activity books, cards, coloring items, and more!

  • Shipping & Countries: USA & Canada, though Canadian customers are responsible for any customs fees. They do offer international shipping to other countries, but it costs $55+ so may not be the best option.
